Lucca's tourist information office, June, 2015.

Isn't it amazing how excited you can make someone just by giving them a book? Mind you, it does make a difference when that person is the model for one of the minor characters in the novel. Meet Roberta, an extremely competent operative in the tourist information office in Lucca. I met her on my first visit to the city and, with the course of time, her persona became the inspiration for a character in my "An Eccentric in Lucca" series of novels. Shortly after being given her copy of the second novel in the series, she burst into tears…that's so Italian!

London Book Fair, Olympia Exhibition Centre, 16th April, 2015.

Much has happened since last year's LBF. It was good to see Graham again on the Book Guild's stand. The four books published thus far nicely displayed on the shelves!

London Book Fair, Earl's Court Exhibition Centre, 8th April, 2014.

The Book Guild was present, as was just about everyone else associated with producing the written word ! With Graham Robson of Book Guild on their stand.

An unexpected bonus was meeting fellow author Ian McFadyen, creator of the Inspector Steve Carmichael novels, the next one of which is due out early in 2015.

Thanks also to the East Grinstead Concert Band and to Derek Butlin, who wealded the baton for the afternoon.
